Noah Labs develops a voice-based machine learning software for the early detection of heart failure, the #1 reason for hospitalizations. As pulmonary edema and fluid accumulation in the vocal tract lead to changes in the sound of the voice, the ML technology can detect deterioration up to 14 days before the current standard of care to avoid costly hospitalizations. The patented solution is currently being evaluated at Mayo Clinic in the US, Charité in Berlin, as well as at university clinics in Maastricht and Barcelona. It will be delivered as part of Noah Labs Ark, the startup's already revenue-generating cardiovascular telemonitoring platform. Founded by cardiologist Dr. Leonhard Riehle, machine learning engineer Marcus Hott and serial entrepreneur Oliver Weiss in 2021, Noah Labs is an ISO 13485 certified manufacturer of software-based medical devices and currently employs 17 people in Berlin.
